The Gainsboro Studio Estate is hands down, Medicine Hat's most unique intimate wedding venue. This historic estate hosts one wedding per day, and its completed restoration is designed specifically for photography so it's backdrop as a wedding is unparalleled.--both for ceremony and reception.
The studio's gardens are shaded by amazing grande trees, adorned rose covered arches, statuary, vintage lamp posts, and elegant pond. Featuring a bridal dressing space like no other, the large parlor of this turn-of-the-century vintage house is all yours.
Imagine...candles twinkling, champagne chilling, calming sounds of a garden string quartet playing on the wrap around veranda, all surrounded by picture perfect background scenery.
Now it's time for your grand entrance. If the weather permits, you enter from the limo hidden in the back parking area and you come down the stairs beside the waterfall pond,where under the archway your beau and minister await you..... or suddenly you come down a circular stairway if the weather is rainy, and into an 1800 sq foot portrait studio.(which can become the perfect dance floor later)

Imagine…you can say I do and be pronounced as Mr. and Mrs., your guests are on their feet ready to greet you... surrounded by the beauty of twinkling garden lights and perhaps even a harp playing for the enjoyment of your guests. Gainsboro Studio at 3rd Annual Break and Enter Christmas! | Medicine Hat Event | CBC broadcast it Nation wide!

Break and Enter Christmas is in it's 3rd year of bringing Christmas joy to a nominated family in Medicine Hat. Gainsboro Studio was on location, creating and remodeling along with over 60 businesses and individuals, who loved so much as to donate over 60,000 dollars in goods and services into the home in one day.
It all started on Sunday at 9am and revealed at 7 pm! The family home chosen was occupied by a mom and her 2 daughters, 13 and 10 years of age, that had been battling a lengthy illness with their dad. He had his leg amputated last year in the hopes of saving his life, but this year he succumbed to the cancer that attacked his body , just a few days before the break and enter was planned to take place. The family who were secretly helping us plan the event assured us that we should go ahead as planned. What an emotional day, and what an amazing crew. Everyone worked tirelessly, on a Sunday, on the coldest day of the year, and smiled while doing it, not leaving til the final reveal occurred. Tears and laughter were the final result, CBC stayed all day with the satellite truck outside and they captured the reactions coast to coast. Tears were mingled with a sense of community and hope. The things we can do with a smile.... when we let our hearts get involved.
